Shared entities between events

In Grenadine Event Planner, there are two kinds of entities: those who are shared between events and those who are event specific.
 
The idea main idea behind shared entities is to avoid duplicate entries.
 
Let’s use an example: you use Grenadine to organize an event at a certain location. For that, you created a venue and the corresponding rooms. Now you organize another event at the same location: no need to re-enter the same information, you search and select the venue in the database and the rooms. And voilà! 
 
The shared entities are specially useful for the “People” entity for which you don’t want to create entries for every event but rather want to manage a pool of persons that you assigned to each event (see “People” below).

People

People are shared entities between events but they can have different roles per event (speakers, registered attendees, …). By default the People screen only shows the persons that have role on your event (speakers, registered attendees, …) but you can use the “Show people from other events” to list the entire list of People that you have for all events.
